This virtual keyboard for Bengali/Bangla is currently being used in the Ankur's English to Bengali dictionary project. The is aimed at helping users in contributing new dictionary entries (in Unicode Bengali) using standard English keyboard and without using any keyboard layout. This virtual keyboard is a slightly modified version of the original Javascript VirtualKeyboard by Ilya Lebedev. The modified version supports cookie-based persistent layout selection. It currently includes three Bengali keyboard layouts whose specifications are publicly available.   The original program Javascript VirtualKeyboard is distributed under GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL). The Bengali keyboard layout files (in *.klc or *.js format) is available for downloading under either GNU LGPL or GNU GPL v2+ license terms.

• Demo Typing:
  The text area below can be used for typing in Bengali using the virtual keyboard.
